10 Tricks to home cleaning with a toddler...

1. Only open the little windows when your little one is around - (not for the obvious reasons either...) whilst I was successful in tidying the kitchen, I was blissfully unaware of all the mess being caused behind me ... normal, you say... maybe in another room, but not in the garden ... I live in a second floor flat, and I underestimated how much of a good shot Blake really is.. safe to say I tidied the garden for half an hour that day too...

2. Don’t Leave the bathroom door open - unless you want to find a million and one things down the loo when you decide you need to go...

3. Helping with the washing - ‘but it goes in the washing machine not on the floor Blake’... Meltdown moment, he didn’t want to say goodbye to his baby grow he had peed on that morning ... 🤷‍♀️

4. Steer clear of buying a ball pit ... BAIN of my life, the second I throw a ball back in, there is another five thrown back at me in the process, and the odd one that worms it way into the washing machine again for the second time that day.

5. Maybe just keep to locking toys away and not touching them at all in your cleaning process until you are on your own... every toy is there favourite when you want to put it away!

6. “What are you eating?” - Only found a secret stash of food under the sofa, I do not want to know how long that biscuit has been there for ... nope definitely not!

7. Make sure you have a million and 1 episodes of there favourite show at hand and ready! - to keep them quiet...for all of ten minutes!

8. Of course unless you then want them to come and grab the lunch you just made...in which case they can’t hear you over the telly... because they decide they are actually watching it when you would like them to listen to you.

9. And just as you sit back with ya cuppa, and get the place a little normal, smelling nice ... they might just decide it’s the perfect time to take a bloody shite!

10. Basically guys... get the crap to a reasonable level of crap and feel happy with it... it’s never gonna be a show home but it’ll be lived in and thats just right.
